Our purpose is to help people live more energy-efficient lives, and live more in harmony with the environment. We carry high-quality products that allow you to use less non-renewable resources, or to use products with less harmful chemicals or impact in manufacturing or use. An example would be the "Clothes Spinner". Most people use a clothes dryer to dry their clothes, which after all is just a device for heating the outdoors! A clothes dryer typically uses 5000 watts of electricity for an hour to dry your clothes, costing you around 80 cents each time you run it. Add that up times the number of loads you do a week x 52 weeks! A clothes spinner spins your clothes at 3300 rpm for three minutes, extracting 97% of the water. After that, line dry them for a few hours, or put them in the dryer for 5 minutes. The clothes spinner uses 700 watts for 3 minutes (about 1/2 a penny of electricity) and leaves clothes softer. Of course, clothes lines and drying racks use no energy and often leave the clothes smelling better. This is just one example of the many energy-saving devices available in the store.
